Brent Sylvester, who usually flies a Genesis advanced ultralight aircraft out of Duncan, moved a new project into CYCD this weekend.  Brent picked up a forlorn-looking 150 that sat at the Somenos airstrip for 13 years, and is now bringing it back to life.  The Genesis will soon be on its way to southern Alberta:

EQUIPPED TO SURVIVE ™ – Ditching Myths Torpedoed!

This looks so cool.  The original canopy has been swapped out for an open cockpit with windscreen, then the aircraft is mounted on floats.  This is the first time I’ve seen an Aircoupe decked out this way.  Looks like a lot of fun on a hot summer’s day –

Last Saturday’s lousy weather grounded our fam flights.  But our visitors did get a close up look at an aircraft, and plans are in the works to get them airborne in the near future.
