AIRSHOW NELSON 2014
Once again the Nelson Pilots Association will be hosting Airshow Nelson, on Saturday Aug 2nd, 2014. This aviation event attracts both locals and folks flying in from across BC, Alberta the US and beyond. Nelson’s Municipal Airport (CZNL) will be buzzing with activity for young and old as well as pilots and non pilots.
Aircraft will begin arriving on the Friday evening Aug 1.The fun gets underway Saturday morning with our famous pancake breakfast at the airport starting at 8am. From aerobatic gliders to jets: The excitement starts right from the word GO! Antique, classic, warbird and home built aircraft will be on display – as well, flying demonstrations and an afternoon air show will be the order of the day!
Featured will be eight renowned Canadian Airshow performers such as Bill Carter, John Mrazek, Paul Hajduk, Peter Herzig and more! And for the first time ever – a high speed air race reminiscent of the Golden Age of Flying, Also making an appearance will be the Canadian Military with several aircraft – a brand new Grob primary trainer, a Harvard II NATO advanced trainer and a Super King Air on static display all day Saturday.
Lunch, Heritage walking tours,shopping on historic Baker Street, tire kicking, swimming, or just a relaxing walk along the beautiful water front, rounds out a fantastic laid back West Kootenay weekend.
Airshow Nelson sees more that 3500 people through the gates – all giving rave reviews. Support general aviation and the airports that serve us so well by planning to be part of this grass roots aviation tradition.
